Luke Thomas Meyer

He is here! Cathy had him on Thursday morning because his amniotic fluid was very low and his heart rate was decelerating. He weighed in at 3 lb 5 oz! He has been a big fighter and is impressing the doctors.

He is on the ventilator, had a collapsed lung Friday morning, and has a significant hole between two of his heart chambers. However, God is with this little guy because despite all of that he is stable, moving his arms around, opening his eyes, and trying to take breaths on his own.

Sometime I will post some of the amazing details of Cathy's pregnancy, or post a link to her website if she does, but know that God is completely amazing! He kept this sweet baby alive and growing despite scenarios the doctor cannot explain, nor has she seen before.

We love our new nephew! Thank you so much for praying for him!

Excited of the banner they made!

Mommy is here!

A happy homecoming for mommy!

worldess Wednesday - Olivia edition.

Every once in awhile I rock her to sleep; it's good for both of our souls.

You have to clean up your own messes around here...

A day at the fair.

Today we went to the Oklahoma State Fair and saw Disney on Ice preform "Dare to Dream", which focused on the princesses Tiana, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. It was a fun day despite being completely outnumbered by children - 6 kids all 5 and under v.s. 3 adults. My sister couldn't come (obviously) but my borther-in-law braved the fair with his three, plus a friend, and we had our two.

No big deal, right?! Right.....we are just that sort of crazy to think this sort of adventure is fun!

She was captivated for the entire show. She loved it!
The Meyer clan, minus Mommy.
Being a "farmer for a day" was a great exhibit!

The petting zoo was Olivia's favorite. She would have stayed there all day!

This goat nearly pulled her hair out by the roots trying to eat it! I had to rescue her.

Sweet Carter took the whole day in stride. Nothing really rattles him.
We let the kids ride three rides and they thought it was fabulous!

Sleepy boy.

We made it the entire day without buying anything, besides some food, for Olivia. We easily could have dropped $20 or $40 on a silly toy at the Princess show, but we told her no. We were feeling good about not leaving the fair with any sort of "junk"', and then this dog came into our lives.

We were on our way to the gate (I.e., 5 minutes from freedom from all things overpriced and crappy) when some nice man walked by and asked Olivia if she wanted a dog (he had two of them in his arms). She instantly said yes and hugged that stuffed dog like it was her long lost pet!

And I'm sure you can guess how the story ends....:/

(almost) wordless Wednesday.

Carter cried when his Popsicle was gone. Olivia promptly knelt down and fed him hers. :)
"Look! I made Carter a washcloth princess!"

We love daddy's lunch breaks a home!
Big boy at the park!
It's a rough life they lead...

Monday catch-up.

I'm feeling fairly productive today.

I have walked a few miles with a friend, spent some quality time in prayer, changed bed sheets, done 2 loads of laundry, put away multiple stacks of clothes, put a pork loin in to marinate with enough time for it to soak up lots of flavor (I can never seem to get that done!), took kids to the park after preschool, emptied and filledthe dishwasher, and now I have two kids napping. That feels pretty productive for 2:45 on a Monday afternoon!

With that sort of efficiency in mind I thought I'd catch y'all up on a few things. This weekend we....

Went to the local fair!
Cheered on both Purdue and Air Force"
Had our first experience with homework!
And spent lots of time outside.!
My sister is till trying to hold off delivering her baby boy, who is 27 weeks. She was doing great, but had a set back this weekend and is having a tough day today. We are praying for at least another week or two for baby boy to grow, but he may come sooner than later based on my conversation with her a few hours ago.

Please join me in prayer for protection over both her and the baby. You can also follow along on her blog where she posts details whenever she can.
