wordless Wednesday (the arrival of our Christmas tree)

If you watch the video you will see that I have not an ounce of pride or shame left in my being......the things we do to entertain our children!

6 ornaments, 1 branch = Olivia decorated that spot :)
Pretending we have a real tree by using this...
My view from the couch last night!

wordless Wednesday.

Posting nice and early this morning, thanks to our wake up call from Carter at 5:45 am (the lil' stinker:). Now, here is some cuteness from this week!

We went to the squadron auction and came home with this bus.......how did that happen?!

thankful Friday.

Coffee with a friend and her adorable newborn, Olivia's Thanksgiving feast in her classroom, warm sunshine combined with crisp Fall air, every detail of a blanket picnic taken care of by our detail-oriented 3 year old, and the knowledge of weekend quickly approaching......so much to be thankful for this day.

Carter joined the big kid table!

In Olivia's classroom I found her paper on the wall with her list of thankfulness.

It read "I am thankful for: my daddy, my mommy, Carter, my big girl bed, and Carter's toys."

Great list, sweet girl! We are thankful for you, too! (even if I hear singing, jumping, and storytelling coming from your room right now when you are supposed to be napping! I suppose a very early bedtime for you could be added to my thankfulness list tonight ;)

(almost) wordless Wednesday.

She rode her scooter all the way around the block!
"look at my pretty flower, Carter!"
Someone got into the snack cabinet...

Snuggly boy after waking up. This never gets old.

(almost) wordless Wednesday - Carter edition.

We think our boy is adorable, and a whole lot of TROUBLE!!!

You never know what he has gotten into or what he will climb up next.....

I found him on the wrong side of the baby gate with sister's toothbrush!

Eating rocks......another favorite pastime.
Going through Daddy's wallet.
Working on his swing!
Looking adorable after church!

Weekend travelers!

We get out of town a lot on the weekends. It's fun to go visit friends and family and have access to some civilization :)

Two weeks ago the kids and I headed up to visit my sister and I got to hold Luke for the first time! It was amazing. Follow along on her blog for updated information and pictures. (link below)

Making Meyer Family Memories

He is doing remarkable and everyone's prayers have pulled him through! He was 4 lb 2 oz as of last night, in an open air crib, and taking several feedings a day orally! He must sustain his weight gain and tolerate 100% of his feelings via bottle or nursing to be able to come home. We hope that is sooner than later!

Olivia loves nothing more than going to her cousins house! Or "her friend cousins" as she calls them :)

We made Halloween cookies!
Carter desperately wanted to participate!
He emptied this cabinet no less than 50 times....true story!
This past weekend the kids and I headed down to Dallas to visit the Seaman family! Mandy, Jared, Caleb, and Libby the dog were great hosts!

We spent Saturday morning at the mall and kept the kids well behaved by bribing them with the temptation of the carousel and the ice skating rink! I'm in the camp that believes that good parenting includes a little bribery :). (and for the record, it worked!)

The we're screeching with delight!
Olivia cried bc she wanted to skate.
Rub a dub dub, three kids in a tub!
Sunday included the zoo!!!! It was a huge hit with the kids!

She talked a big game but then got scared!
Picnic lunch!
Petting the goats.
And we ended the great day with another carousel ride!
Where will next weekend take us? Probably my couch.....I need to recover ;)
